Public Transport with the Copenhagen Card

With the Discover pass, you can use all public transport across Greater Copenhagen free of charge. This includes the metro, city buses, S-tog (suburban rail), and regional trains within the covered zones. The airport connection is also included - so you can travel directly from Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) into the city without buying a separate ticket on arrival.

The Hop pass does not include regular public transport - only the hop-on hop-off sightseeing buses. If you want the flexibility to travel freely by metro and bus, the Discover pass is the right choice.

Validity: Public transport is covered for the full duration of your card - from the moment you activate it in the app for the period you have chosen (24 to 120 hours). You can travel as many times as you like within that window.

Using Your Card

Activation: Activate the card in the app when you arrive in Copenhagen. From that moment it also serves as your travel ticket.
Boarding: No validation is needed. Simply board and keep the QR code ready in the app.
Inspections: If there is a ticket inspection, show the QR code in the app. The card is personal and non-transferable.

Key Connections

Airport: From Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup), the Metro M2 reaches the city centre in around 15 minutes (Kongens Nytorv, near Nyhavn). The S-tog and regional trains also connect the airport to Copenhagen Central Station.

City centre: The Metro M1 and M2, along with lines M3 (Cityringen) and M4, serve the central neighbourhoods around the clock. The M3 circle line connects Copenhagen Central Station, the city centre, and all major interchange points.

S-tog: The suburban rail network takes you to destinations further afield. With the Discover pass you can also reach day-trip destinations in the Capital Region such as Roskilde or Helsingor (partly by regional train).
